HI
I'm trying to find out the father to Samuel English. According to census born Messing 1823 but can't find him there. Found him married to Mary Warner in 1843. Lived most of life in Great Baddow. would marriage record name father?

Yes - it should show his fathers name unless he was illegitimate

I notice he re-married in 1870 to Eliza Smith and the 1871 shows his birthplace as Witham although all others say Messing

also done same day to same couple was a James English.
