Translation from Latin needed please

Despite attending a traditional grammar school I decided to opt for German rather than Latin. Consequently I am at a disadvantage. I have found this page in a 1786 book which refers to a possible ancestor who was a Christ Church scholar. Please could a very kind person translate for me. I can guess, but would prefer it done correctly.

I believe P.M. stands for Piae Memoriae = "Of pious memory".

PM is most likely in the ablative case (pia memoria) as it is followed by the person's name in the genitive (In pious/dutiful memory of ...).

unicus means "one and only/ sole". As it is in the genitive (unici), it will refer to the deceased "only son, sole heir ...").

I really appreciate your translation. I only wish that I lived close enough to Oxford to visit Christchurch and see the memorial for myself.

Thank you genechaser, GR2 and Alexander. I now have a complete translation of the memorial. My research only found sisters so I now know that there were no other male siblings.

tofgem, just a thought, but it might be worthwhile enquiring about the
arms on the Rootschat heraldry board. I am not very well read in such
matters, but I think the cadency mark (a Crescent for difference)
indicates second son, so I have in mind that while he was the only son
of his mother, he may have been the second son of his father, implying
an earlier marriage for his father.

According to the Willey Register:

"John Corbett, a native of Willey, born at the Dean in 1656, son of Richard and Judith Corbett of
Willey, was M.A. of Christ Church, Oxford, and praelector of Greek. He died 15 June, 1688, aged
32, and was buried at Christ Church, where is a monument to his memory."

His will was proved at Oxford, i6 October, 1688. (See Wood’s Colleges and Halls, edit. Gutch, i. 481.)
