Marriage on FreeBMD June qtr 1875 in Stockton for Thomas James S Taylor and Lucy Hannah Rose  vol 10a page 122.

Lucy H Rose is on the 1871 census with mother Esther (53), Esther Stanton (19, daughter), and Clara M, 11 all born Staffs  :) Ref: RG10 piece 3002 folio 24 page 41

Where did the date of birth come from? Do you have the cert? If so that will tell you of his father.

But - I cant actually see a birth reg for that name, place and year ?

Possible marriage for Lucy's parents: -

Arthur Rose to Esther Stanton in Dudley March qtr 1956 vol 6c page 102.

Think this might be a second marriage for Esther - think they have been mistranscribed as Ross on the 1861 census - Arthur (40), blacksmith, Esther (44), Lucy H (40), Clara (18m), Mary A Stantan 13) and Esther Stantan(9) listed as daughters-in-law - should be step daughters?

On various census Thomas J S Taylor's birthplace is Stourbridge, Worcs and Lucy's is Tipton, Staffs.

Sarah Taylor   59 b. Tipton, Staffordshire
Elizabeth Healey   boarder 24 b. Tipton, Staffordshire
Thomas J Taylor   boarder 5 b. Stourbridge, Worcestershire
Harry J Healey   1 b. Darlston, Staffordshire
Herbert J Healey   4 Months b. Tipton, Staffordshire

RG 9 Piece 2043 Folio 30 Page15. Church Lane, Tipton.

On the 1871 census Thomas is still with Thomas Snr and Sarah at Church Lane, Tipton, however this time the relationship is grandson.
