It's more difficult when there's uncertainty over her surname at death and the death index hasn't been found. Try to sort that out first then look for the burial. Have you tried Bootle Cemetery records on Family Search?

There is a death announcement in the Liverpool Echo 16th Aug 1983, page 8, col 7  for an Evelyn Rimmer which is likely to be related to the death reg Blue posted.
This lady died on 15th August 1983 aged 66, The death announcement doesn't say what her address at the time of her death was (though says she died 'at home') but does say she was 'late of Calder Street, Everton'. Her funeral service was at Anfield, followed by cremation.

Though the notice does mention the names of her husband and 3 children, various grandchildren, a sister, brother and a brother in law, I can't post the names here as they may still be alive and RootsChat has a strict policy of not identifying living people. I'll drop Victoria a PM with the details. At least they may help to confirm or discount this death registration.

Thank You. Some time ago I found this.Death Record E.Rimmer Born 14/01/1917. Age 66 Registered Sept 1983 Reg District Knowsley GRO Record V36 Page 108. Evelyn was living at an address in Bootle 1980 Electoral Roll states a "Jim " Rimmer was living with her She was not at this address after 1982. I thought this was not the lady I am searching for because of area death was registered. Knowsley not part of Bootle. Could someone who was living in Knowsley have registered the death
