Hi Marienne, could I impose on you once again. Grave M2067. I have the following info:

8th March 1938. William O'Toole age 69, died at Walton hospital
2nd August 1941. Catherine O'Toole age 64, died at 4 Hilbury Avenue
1st April 1942. Martin O'Toole age 78, died at 42 Belmont Road.

The grave owner is Martin O'Toole. Is there anyone else interred?

Many thanks as always, John

Hi, I'm looking for Ford Cemetery graves; I'd be very grateful for plot ID please:
- William Charlton buried 16 Feb 1900 aged 57 plot "2755" in the handwritten register; his wife Mary Charlton, and son Francis b. 1876.
- Arthur A. Copley d. 1967, and second wife Catherine Copley (also previous married, surname Duckworth) d. Q2 1977.
Forgive the rather flakey details!

Nick, Marienne's records only cover graves in Ford and Yew Tree, though she may be able to help with your Charltons, I can't see the Copleys in the Ford and Yew Tree burials online.

Hopefully this will save Marienne some time:
Arthur Alfred Copley of 702 Longmore Lane has a probate calendar entry which says he died 20th Jan 1967 and Admin of his estate was granted to Catherine Copley, widow.
There is a corresponding burial at Anfield on 25th Jan 1967 for Arthur Copley aged 56, of 702 Longmore Lane RC section 3, grave 765 which looks likely to be the man you are looking for.

I can't see a burial/cremation record anywhere online for Catherine Copley died 1977, but her wishes 'may' have been to be cremated and by then Springfield Crematorium was also in operation (for which there are no registers online that I am aware of) so its 'possible' that she may have been cremated there.

Boo

Thanks so much Tickettyboo, that's a big help.
I'll go and visit Arthur Copley in Anfield Cemetery and contact Springfield Crematorium to see if they have a record of Catherine being cremated there.
I'll stand by for news of the Charltons from Marienne.

Thanks Marienne!

Just one thing if I may – I've visited Ford AS165 before, the McKenna grave. Francis Charleton was the brother of Margaret McKenna (née Charleton), but he isn't named on the headstone (photo attached). Is that unusual?
Also (sorry, that's two things!), are the public graves where William and Mary are unmarked?

Nick

Nick, I have seen hundreds of headstones at Ford where not all are named on the memorial, whether because of space, cost, no remaining close family, apathy etc.

There will be no marked graves where William and Mary are interred.

Best wishes, John
