How to reopen a 'completed' post.
« on: Saturday 22 June 13 13:32 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have just added a new entry to an old post which I'd had no luck with, in the hope that someone might be able to help.

The trouble is that I cannot work out how to delete 'Completed' from my topic subject heading.

Can someone advise please?

Thanks

Barbara.

Hi Barbara  :)

If it's less than 24 hours old you could use modify but, most likely it is older,  so you'd have to ask a Mod to do it for you.

Hello there Gadget, nice to speak again after a long while. ;D

Thanks for your advice, below is the old post I originally placed which I have added to today but cannot delete the 'completed' bit:

Completed.Grave Lookup, Hythe, Kent,UK.

Is there anyone who may be able to do a Grave lookup for me please, in Saltwood Churchyard / Cemetery, Hythe, Kent.

Hello Barbara

I see that you've added to that post but maybe it won't be picked up.

I think if I were you, I'd maybe  start a new thread on the Kent board, asking for the info that you've put here and link it to your old thread by quoting the url:

Oops - see you've modified already  :)  I'm sure Casalguidi wouldn't mind you sending her a PM, althernatively  you could click on the  Report to Mod icon, bottom right of your message.

Hi,

If you press the "Report to Moderator " button, I'm sure the first one on will be able to help you.

Hi Gadget,

I think you're probably right - I may as well start afresh with a new post and linking to the old. It seems to be the most straight forward solution.

Hello Sandra, thanks for the reply.

Actually I had opened the " Report to Moderator " but it's function only appears to be used for the following reasons:

'To report an abusive or wrongly posted message ' and I didn't want to risk using it incorrectly.

Thanks both for your help.

Hi Barbara,

This was the same question asked this week and gives a reply from a moderator.

Hi Sandra &  Bob,

Thanks both for your help in advising how to get possible changes/updates made to old posts if required.

Cheers

Barbara.
