I wonder why they're on such different pages, since they're both Oct-Dec and both Dowling.

What I'm wondering, too, is what happened to the family later on - when Anne, Esther and Mary Anne died, and whether either of the daughters married.

There's a possible match for Simon's burial in Glasnevin (pay-website) in 1909, although his age on that system is showing as 57. The full record could provide a few more clues...

I wonder, now. The address for Simon Dowling (without paying Glasnevin) is 'Harbour', which doesn't sound likely. I don't know that this inner-city Dublin family would have been buried in Glasnevin necessarily, though I'm not sure where they might have sought interment. I'm going to take a look at the death record and the marriage record - and thank you very much for finding those - in the Irish Life Centre.
Thought I'd found Esther's death in the Dun Laoghaire part of Roots Ireland, but no.

The death registrations for Simon and Elizabeth are just a few pages apart- in a busy, populous district like Dublin South there may actually only be a short time span between the 2 deaths.
