Birchall death Look up please

COULD ANYONE LOOK FOR A DEATH OF EDWIN BIRCHALL BORN 11TH JANUARY 1907 BARTON ON IRWELL MANCHESTER - WE HAVE SEARCHED ENGLAND AND WALES WITHOUT SUCCESS.

Hi

If he was only born in 1907, he could have died anytime up to the 1980's so it's a rather tall order to ask for a search of the BMD index for that length of time. 

You need to narrow it down.  What is the last year you can account for him being alive?  What years have you searched on the GRO index?

What information do you have to link him to the IOM?  Did he marry or live in the IOM - if so - when?

Hi Carole

He was last seen on VJ Day 1945.  I have spent a fortune on 1837   :'( saving all the death GRO for Birchalls - so I think he died abroad, changed his name or maybe is still alive - he would be 99 next birthday.

I'll keep searching - thanks for your advice
