Margaret Anderson
« on: Monday 24 June 13 14:01 BST (UK) »
Hi

trying to find any information regarding Margaret Anderson, born in the Whitby area of Yorkshire (I think) in 1831

I know she married an Issac Leadley and then John Hayes (this is my link) in Whitby in 1868.

Parents would be fantastic.

Also any info relating to John Hayes b 1830 in Limerick Ireland - a long shot I know but would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

this looks a likely christening and there are others to match the children Lostris mentions:

Thanks all, I really appreciate the help.

Any ideas why parents are not listed on 1841 census?

Also any info on John Hayes, it seems he just appears in Whitby in 1861

There is also a Cornelius Hayes born abt 1832 Limerick in Whitby so possibly brothers.

1851 2374/ 239/30  has this:
Jane Anderson 57 widow lodging house keeper b Marton Yorks
Anne Anderson daughter 18
William Jackson 70 Lodger

They are living in Church Street Whitby and have Leadley neighbours.
The Hayes 'brothers' are also in Church Street in 1861

The girls were in Church Street in 1841 also

There is a published tree for Cornelius' family which gives his father as John from his marriage certificate.
It also claims your John as his brother.

Ref that 1841 - its always possible that the Jane shown age 13 was in fact 'Mum' and age was mucked up ....

Or was there a Baptism for a Jane of that age?
