It would still help us try and help if you could say where she is in 1881.

I see no Ellen bn 1879 Hammersmith with mother Elizabeth , with any of the names above
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Sorry but I have not found her in 1881, she is not with her mother. Ellen was my great Aunt and I spent all my holidays with her as a child, she lived in Portsmouth. I know all about her except the information I have asked for help with.

..and where she was in 1881!!

The thing is, we dont know all the info about her.

But to simply answer the question you asked and go no further - there is no christening in Hammersmith for any of those names around that year, amongst the ones online on Ancestry, from the LMA.
I do not know if it is complete for that area and parishes, but certainly there were plenty there for Hammersmith.

Thank you. The only help I need in my research of Ellen is to find her baptism if in fact she was ever baptised. Thanks for taking the trouble to reply to my enquiry.

Which we might be able to find if only we knew who we were looking for?

There will be clues in the censuses (and other data) that might help us.
But when we can't even find Ellen on the censuses, then we simply can't help.

I have Ellen on all the census except the 1881 thank you. She is not with her mother on the 1881 and I have searched ever since it was made available all those years ago. I am just looking for the last couple of pieces to the jigsaw.
I am grateful to you all for your replies today. Thank you.

As you have Ellen on all the census (except 1881) can you please tell us where she is on those you have with reference number.  This will enable us to see who you are talking about so we know who we are looking for.

Thanks
Rosie  ;D
