His service docs. say he was living at Rose Cottage Lugtrout Lane as a Gamekeeper.
Originally called up to the Warwicks but was declared B2 & transferred to the RAMC & then to the Labour Corps. where he received a gunshot wound to the knee.Placed on the Z list & demobbed 1919.
No children listed up to that point even though he had 28 days furlough.
FreeBMD shows no children.

Meriden, Vol 6d, page 474

Hampton in Arden where Winifred is claimed to be born on the 1881 census, is located in the Meridan registration district !  :)

To find out where he was after demob. you need the Solihull Electoral Registers which are held at Solihull Library.
