In that case, it could well be that she was baptised in Paisley, and the family then used the canal to move to Glasgow. Just a thought.

I'm not an expert on baptism but I think I have heard of home baptisms in Scotland at that time? Perhaps someone with more knowledge of this sort of thing might comment.
