I've only seen this thread tonight.I've got one person on the Site a Sarah Harding born in Quattendon in 1773.She married my relative Edward Griffiths at Chesham in 1795.Apparently the person whose Site it is does not know this yet!

Couldn't resist commenting  to this thread being recently revisited .......  many of my ancestors have come under Heather Rohrer's scope of interest.  I have also corresponded with her in the past.  She will quite avidly pursue all contacts made and can provide insight and assistance.  She will also want all the information you have available and it will end up on her "tree".     I think she is a legitimate researcher though I am not a particular fan of "name gathers", I am amazed at the reseach and the significant amount of accuracy she had obtained,  but there are some pieces (relative to my own particular family interests) which are not accurate and remain speculative.  How she (or anyone)  can research all these families and individuals with scrutiny and proper due diligence  ( obtaining validating certs,  for instance) continues to perplex me.   Though I do refer to her site and I do give considerable credibility to her information  -- discretion and re-validation would be prudent...... just my opinion.

A think one of the reasons why Heather and Mark have such a vast wealth of information in their Trees, is because Bucks is so open and generous with their information.
They are, without a doubt, the best county for genealogy that I have come across.

Very good point, Paula Too .... and LOL !!  As 2 of my most frustrating walls are located there  --  with 2 marriages not to be found anywhere !!  But alas,  not from lack of record keeping, I think .... but from lack of a "disaster recovery plans"  (in the mid-1800's !) which plagues us all at one time or another   :'( :'(

Happy Christmas  :)

HA!
'Disaster recovery plans' good name for it....
I have a couple of 'disasters' in the North Marston registers, where pages have been torn out or defaced and you can see just a few names and numbers, or the torn remnants of the page... It was all around the unCivil War and Restoration... it didn't even make it to Bishops Transcripts....so it looks as though someone had something to hide............ ;)

Sounds very intriguing, Paula Too!!   Any theories or speculations??

My gaps are from a fire which burned portions of the PR's (I think)   --  nothing interesting or nefarious  ::) ::)
