completed CAMDEX Church Codes for Marriages
« on: Tuesday 13 December 11 22:51 GMT (UK) »
I have searched CAMDEX for 3 marriages that took place in the church in Chatteris.

The years are 1845, 1849 and 1880.

None of these were found in CAMDEX.

Who were the parties to the marriages? I'll check the transcript

Remember that Camdex is not yet complete so it's possible that those years haven't yet been transcribed. In fact by cross checking there are no Chatteris marriages on Camdex in the years you mention, so presumably they haven't been transcribed yet

I was trying to be helpful and hoped to find a code for Chatteris to add to the list.

I have a marriage certificate for one of the marriages. The other two are from the Cambs FHS transcript for Chatteris and confirmed by GRO index.

The conclusion as you have said is that Chatteris has not been transcribed on CAMDEX yet. :)

Is there a similar list for the former Huntingdonshire parishes?
