Posting and PMs

After several years I have just had a PM in reply to my only previous post, and it is very, very interesting. But the system won't allow me to reply to this PM until I have posted 3 times. So this is my second post. Third post coming up.

This is my third post, and I'd like to tell the person who PM'd me that I was very glad to hear from him. I will get my research together and reply asap, rootschat willing.

Help, please! This is awful.

I can't even SEE my PM on rootschat---my PM page is blank---although it shows on my own email. When I try to reply on rootschat I get a message saying that I am not allowed to use this facility.

I have never had such trouble on any other other forum. What on earth is going on?

Welcome to rootschat!

I think this is a temporary glitch as I have used the PM system successfully for a few years now. It may be because you have only just reached your 3 posts.

I have always found rootschat a marvellous forum full of helpful and knowledgeable people, perhaps the software has let it down on this occasion. Try waiting a couple of hours to see if you can reply to your PM on the rootschat site.

Thank you, Josey. But I've just noticed that I have SEVEN posts listed! So surely I should be able to use the PM facility? I have read the Help pages on this.
PS And have just found the Contact button and sent a message about it to rootschat.
