I don't know how close Charing and Ashford are but here are a couple of possibilities from FS

Charing is about 5 miles away from Ashford, Both my parents were cremated there so I think there is some connection with it.

Hi.

Looking for anything on Susanna Brett who m. Hart Baker 1768. Susanna is shown as being from Charing. I have found a Susanna chr. 11/5/1746 at Wootton parents William & Mary?. I think Wootton is near Charing.
