Hi All

Ida F.G. Booth b. Dec 1904 Woodbridge
married Sept 1930 Woodbridge
to Charles E. Grimsey Woodbridge
All I have is a postcard with an address
2 forge house high st ufford woodbridge Suffolk
have found birth/marriage bdm
if any one could help with any information on
Ida Booth/Charles E.Grimsey
eg did they live a forge house and children etc
it would help me get a lead
any information would be a great help

Hello,

as you will know the certificates - birth and marriage will give you information about the couple.

1911 census http://www.1911census.co.uk/ shows Ida Frances Grace Booth in the free index. You can download the information for a fee.

It is possible sometimes to see who is also in the same household by searching e.g.
Name: Booth
Residential Place: Ufford
Other members of the household: Ida Booth

This process shows two names who could be her parents.

Looking at Booths in Ufford in 1901, there is a Robert K Booth, 73 yrs retired blacksmith on High Street which looks promising for the family.

High Street Ufford

Edward Booth head 27 yrs  Blacksmith b Ufford
Edith wife 31 yrs b Lincolnshire Winterton

I have a old photo album its shows the address
of ida booth but also 6 army 1 naval men
what I am trying to find is did ida booth have a big family if so
they could be in the album but sadly no names on photo
any help would be great

Hi John,

looking at the ages of the family and the 1911 free index, it seems unlikely that she would be one of a large family in terms of siblings.
I suppose there could be any reason for the photo. If it was wartime, there may have been military in the area.
At least though the address looks correct and long standing in the family.

what I ment was ida boooth children did she have
many the photos I have start about 2 years up to 60 plus
