Wells & Field marriage - Ipsley
« on: Saturday 27 July 13 09:54 BST (UK) »
I have been researching the Pinfield Wells family for a long, long time and have made a little breakthrough but as usual leads to more questions.

Just wondering if anyone has access to Ipsley parish records to look up a marriage?  I have an illegitimate line to find out more about.

I have a marriage for Jane Wells and John Field on 03/1//1831.  I am really hoping there it mentions the fathers or even witnesses that might just lead me on to something else....fingers crossed that there is a Wells or Pinfield witness?

Can anyone help at all?

Thanks
Ann-Marie

Hello Ann-Marie
Ipsley is in Worcs.
I think this would be better served on their board.

Hi the Parish of Ipsley was in Warwickshire.  Ipsley parish is now part of Redditch, Worc's but only in more recent times.  For when I am looking for it was Warks.

Although I did mean to put it on the Worc's board as this is now where the records are being held.

Hi, thanks for the reply! That is the family.. Susannah had 2/3 illegitimate children William and Jane are definite and then possibly Luke.  I have managed to get all the census info and am hoping to try to find out more.
Have had numerous trips to records office and then came across Jane's marriage to John Field at home...need to get back to records office really.

How does Jane fit into this family. She can't be Jane b.1836 if she married in 1831.

In Census Louisa is down as a Widow.
And confusingly as Mother in Law in 1861 from memory. (oops 1851 born c 1778 Inkbprough, Worcs)
Are you saying she never married and had a William/Jane/Luke illegitimatley?

John Field appears to be with his mother in 1841 with his 2 children. No sign of Jane.
There's a death at Redditch 1838 for Jane Field aged 27 is this her?
