I'd thought 1860s for the last one but just because the children's clothing reminded me of American civil war era photos for some reason.

It was the middle one that made me think 1860's.

Yes, early 1860s or even late 1850s. And bee-yoo-tiful :)

Are they yours? I think the third one may be American, the exaggerated style of hair at the sides of the head is more American I think.

Sadly they're only mine in so far as I have them, they are not family members as far as I know. The only photos that old in my family are copies of originals which had faded so much someone had attempted to replace features by drawing them on, in pencil thankfully.

These came from auction, there are several plates and a few ambrotypes.  One plate has what maybe a name on the back but most are anonymous. I might put up the named one, you never know someone might know who it is.

Sorry, forgot to say thank you for the dating. Also, I've only been able to photograph these at an angle so far mainly to avoid the camera flash being reflected by the glass. That's why they appear skewed.
