I am looking for the Father of a Reuben Newport.
Reuben was born 1786 Somerset and married Ann Biggin on 17 Apr 1819.
Reuben died 8 May 1851 Castle Cary. 

Can anyone help trace his father ?

There's a baptism for a Reuben Newport at St Mary Magdalene Sparkford a bit earlier than your date - 29/06/1784 father Robert, mother Susannah (from the FreeReg site).

Sparkford is 3 miles from East Lydford where they got married. The parish record has them both as "sojourners", both residing temporarily in the parish.

That could be right as i am not totally sure of his birth. 

Thank you for that, I may have to pay a visit to somerset.
