can't read the header
« on: Thursday 01 August 13 17:00 BST (UK) »
I am struggling reading a few of the words here:

The northern portion which includes ??????? the Shores of Newburgh; that part of the ?????? to the east of town.

Anyone with better eyes?

Hi

What about Mugdrum? There is an island of that name in the Tay off Newburgh. Could the other word be suburbs?

Mugdrum is the first word, makes sense with where it is.

I enlarged it and I think it says Muirdrum, which is a fairly common place name.
Brown Burns and Brush Dundee; Thomson and Brown Perth; Burnett Fraser Sim and Burns Aberdeenshire; Stewart and Haggart Perth and Dundee; Barclay perthshire; Brown and Proctor, Mass. USA; Robertson Selkirk, Jedburgh; Scott Selkirk and Roxburghshire; Gill India/Australia/England

thanks Susan,

I had a look at the map and saw Mugdrum, so I think that is probably the correct name.
