Thank you again :)

Funny you should say that, I was given 28th January 1795 Thomas, of Andrew and Margaret SORD, who is on Familysearch as FORD  ::)

One of my biggest problems is not managing to kill the husbands off- Henry SWORD was the only one I found a death for, but considering Mark's baptism wasn't on the FamilySearch BTs, it seems the BTs aren't complete anyway.

Interesting about the discrepancy in the dates - 1795 and 1799.

As we're both working from transcriptions I should brace myself and go foraging in the mess that is the Cornhill register - see what it says in there.

It would still need to be found in the Presbyterian registers and not all of them are available.

There has to be an answer  ;D

It would be amazing of you :) (but of course, don't feel obliged to untangle my mess, you've been extremely helpful on your own time and effort and obviously getting nothing back but my sincere thanks!)

What a hassle  ::) I swear the Brady bunch saw me coming  ::)

I have to say that I have great respect for both the transcribers who included  Thomas son of Andrew and Margaret because whichever one is right they did at least find the entry and that is more than I managed today!

There are, as I have said, dissenters slotted in all over the place but the main section is entitled ‘Baptism of Dissenters transferred from the last Day of this Book’.  (Even that doesn’t make sense.)    The entries so transferred are not even in chronological order but I scoured them and still couldn’t find it.

I am certain now that the Brady and Ord families are Presbyterian - both names occur in Crookham records - just not the ones you need.  Perhaps a thread directed towards those folks on the Northumberland board who have wider non-conformist knowledge might be worth a go.

With this family, from the start every new comment on them I've never known whether to laugh or cry, usually I do both  ::)

Thank again for looking :)
