Catherine Mathias

I am stuck with trying to find the parents of Catherine who I think was born abt 1836/37 Wrexham and married James Parry 1855 Ruabon. There is a David Mathias family in 1851 Broughton Wrexham but Catherine is not with them. I think this is the correct family because in 1881 daughter Phoebe Parry is with David and Ann Mathias who are her grandparents.
Would appreciate some help if possible confirming 1851 family and finding maiden name of mother.

From Family Search it appears there is a marriage between a David Mathias and an Ann Thomas in 1834.This marriage almost certainly will have taken place at Wrexham St Giles 09/03/1834.

Yes I saw that marriage but there is also marriage between a David Mathias and Ann Jones in 1831 Brymbo.

Yes online Trees have a Mary(1831) as David and Ann's eldest child.

That biggest problem is that I can not find Catherine with any immediate family members. With two David Mathias /Ann marriages so close together at the same location I do not know which is the correct one.

I can only suggest you get one of the three Mathias children's birth certificates who were born after 1837.These will show the mother's maiden name.People could look up the earlier baptisms for you prior to 1837 but these are not likely to show the mother's maiden name.

Realized that was my last course of action. I had hoped that both marriages were the same David but could could not find an Ann death 1831-34 on familysearch.

Does it help at all that a Samuel Mathias was a witness at the 1834 marriage?

Catherine's baptism says they were living in Broughton and David was a collier..
