1841 to 1871censuses
« on: Monday 05 August 13 18:49 BST (UK) »
Hi Can anyone please help?

In the 1881 census I have a James Aidley aged 72 and hiswife Sarah Aidley aged 74 living in Lower Cliffe Farm, Hurdsfield Cheshire Reference RG11 piece 3489 fol 99 page 14.

I believe that the above James Aidley was christened as 'James Adley' on 25th December 1808 at Marton Church near Congleton.

The problem is I cannot find James or his wife Sarah in any of the censuses 1841 to 1871 inclusive.
Can anybody help
Thanks in anticipation of your help
Brian
