Had another look
Agree occupation is 'traveller'

I wasnt that convinced when I originally posted Inn teller - hence the question mark beside it - but couldnt see anything else till casalguidi came up with traveller.  Now of course it is clearly that!  Not that his writing is particularly clear at all .......

Travelling selling his shoes/boots and maybe carrying out repairs as he went.  I had that with an ancestor who was a chair manufacturer.  I've also had an ancestor who was a chair maker but who also ran an inn in association with his wife in their rural location - other members of the family were also in a similar situation at different times, I guess to make ends meet.
