Bevil Melville - Patriarch

Hi, Having difficulty finding any further details of my ancestor John William Melville, b1800 - with no details about him from birth in Romford, Middlesex to 1851 census, except he middle-named 3 children Bevil, John Bevil, William Bevil and Jessie Bevil, with mother Harriet,  and I surmise that may have been his father's name in Romford, Walthamstow or Islngton around late 1700's. Have no idea how to search Parish records and haven't been able to purchase a marriage certificate for John and Harriet from GRO. Help please, James Melville. My deceased uncle in Brisbane was also named Bevil.

I am sorry can you clarify his occupation on the 1851 census,its hard to decipher,
Gunning County Down,Kneale Isle of Man,Riddle Tynemouth,Bibby Kendal/Bradford,Colenso Penzance/Barrow-in-Furness,Steele Corney Fell,Chapman Ely,Dawes Alfreton,Blamire Westmoreland and Ulverston

Jessie married Mr Fowler you know,John left his estate to Jessie,
Children are without their parents in 1861,
have they both died,?

Harriet Melville aged 35 years buried Jan 15th 1855,Linden Grove,abode 2 Fredrick Place,Upper Lemmington Lane Vauxhall,is this correct
