And
Harold Mervyn [three on the indexes but think this would his his]
http://www2.mcb.wa.gov.au/NameSearch/details.php?id=KC00102997

So you have Herman's birth, parents, parent's marriage, siblings, marriage, death, place of burial, and chn.  Not much more unless there are some news items/personal notices on TROVE and I can't search that today.

Do you think we have found the correct Herman?

Have we helped you with your grandfather's information at all?

A little bit of feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Kerry,
I hope you will not mind that I venture to say you are perhaps rather new to family history research :D

We all started somewhere in our searches and learnt as we went along.

One of the most valuable things you can do  for those who come after, in order that they may appreciate your family tree work, is to ensure it is as accurate as possible.   This will never be the case unless you have sighted original documentation for every entry possible.

The work done here for you on this thread is unsubstantiated by documentation and therefore open to error. So the next step is up to you. Otherwise sadly, what you construct may be absolute rubbish!

Perhaps you will have a chance to pop back in at some time soon and tell us what  further you have discovered.

Sue

Wondering where you got to with your search. I am a great grand daughter of Herman Heinrich Schmidt/Smith born 1871 and married to Louisa Baker.
