Ludgershall Wiltshire Parish registers-Looking for Lansleys

Oh Gosh! Thank you Suz, I think I am going to have to digest all this information. There are so many Lansley and derivations of the name in The Hampshire and Wiltshire areas that it can become very confusing. I will have to take some time to sort through all this fab info. Thank you!

There are several trees on Ancestry which have George with parents James (1788-1867)& Hannah (1790 - 1875) -some have him born 1821 some 1817 - most have the correct wife (Anna Maria)
there is one tree which seems well sourced -but you are best checking yourself.

They have James Lansly married Hannah Reeves 15 Apr 1815 St James Ludgershall Wilts. Witnesses Elizabeth Sturgess & Hester Hunt

Children of James and Hannah are listed as :
William 1813-1879(In baptism register 20 Oct 1813 William is entered as William Reeves son of hannah Reeves illegit father's name James Lansly - William used the surname Lansly for rest of life)
Sarah 1815- 1862
GEORGE 1817 - 1883 (baptism 8 Mar 1817 Ludgershall LDS IGI batch no 7707443 unconfirmed)
Charles 1818-1890
Charlotte 1820
Everett 1821 -1899
James 1825 -1886
Hannah 1828 - 1913
Cranley 1829-1915
Lancelot Thomas 1831-1898
Lavinia 1834-1892

Of course this needs checking - marriage cert  for George would give father's name and occupation to confirm(or deny!)

I've just had a quick look on the census and should this be the correct family here's a little more info on George's siblings

it seems the children born after George were born in Kimpton Hants
Charles 1818 was a carpenter -in 1841 he was living with another family training to be a carpenter Married Elizabeth
Everett 1821  in 1841 was a srvant to Charles Makin(who was Scottish) Everett married Mary E - there is an Everett lansly (I think is the same one) who was sentenced on 2 convictions (at the same time) to 6mths & 6 mths
James 1825 occ Blacksmith -married Eliza - in 1861 they had Holloway families living either side of them - wonder if this was Ann Maria (george's wife)'s family?
Cranley 1829 occ Blacksmith married Mary J


Whenyou have digested this and decided whether or not we have the correct family please come back and request furthwer information

If in fact George and Ann Maria Lansley are your correct line,they lived in the Thruxton area all their lives.
Ann Maria death age 59, 1877 Andover,George age 66 1883 Andover,their marriage certificate may confirm things for you.

I now think that the family I was searching for were George and Ann Maria Lansley nee Holloway and George's parents were George and Charlotte Lansley.
