I am looking at a very similar piece stamped made in british india, but I think Maggie and YT are closer to the mark

It could be the Garuda, although the etching is not that good and  being so small.

Many thanks to all for a fast response.
We now know where globe-trotting great aunt went.

And Maggie, I could not read the words on the clasp under ‘925 silver’, but I can now decipher it as Made in Siam.
I see that the name was changed from Siam to Thailand in 1939.  Does this mean that the bracelet was made before 1940 or was the name Siam retained for art work?

Glad you got it sorted Bob.  This site here gives some history on the contentious issue of the name change, which does not sound to have been straightforward, the US and UK didnt recognise the name until 1948. Not sure it helps with the dating of the bracelet though.

I recognised this straight away as "Siamese Silver"...very popular in the late 1960s...I had a ring with a similar design.
