Michael Connell

With lots of help I have managed to trace John William Connell back to Michael Connell but now I am stuck.  I think he was born between 1827-1830 in Ballenrobe Ireland.  He was married to Sarah then Catherine.  I would like to find his parents, when he entered England and why I cannot find any trace of the family in 1881.  I appreciate any help given.

There was free passage between England/Ireland/Scotland so you will not find any official records of when he came to England

Did he marry either of his 2 wives in England?  If so - a copy of one of the marriage certs will at least give you his fathers name

John William Connell was born in 1862.  I don't know where he married or if he was married or whether he deserted his first wife

sorry I don't know his religion although a lot of the family were married in the Anglican church later

There is no point trying to research Michael Connell until you can prove he actually existed and was the father of John William.  That is why you need his birth cert.  His birthyear is shown as 1864 on the 1881 entry which fits the 1863 birth I gave you details of

As you know from your previous post - there is no marriage or death for a Michael Connell fitting the possible profile and there is the possibility that John W was illegitimate.  He is in prison in 1881 and cannot be found in 1871
