Abbs family - any help?
« on: Sunday 11 July 04 16:01 BST (UK) »
My brother is getting married in October & I thought it might be nice to try & trace the family tree on both sides - We're Abbs and my Mum's side is Marriott.

I have absolutely no idea where to begin & got this website from a search!

Thanks in advance

Hello Jo,

What a fantastic idea !!

We have a section which we feel will help a new person to research like yourself...

here is a short cut for you
http://www.rootschat.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=3996.0

Keep it simple by starting with you and your brother then move on to your parents and then on to your grandparents carefully logging Births, Marriage and Deaths etc...

When you have asked your family for as much information as you can, tell us where you are upto with dates and names and we can help you further.

Regards

Jo,

We also have an Abbs One Name Study on here, so you're in luck! :)
