Crappich wedding 1720 Comrie Perthshire
« on: Thursday 29 August 13 16:46 BST (UK) »
It's a bit of a long shot but I wonder if anyone can help.

I have a wedding between Donald Carmichael and Katrina Stalker believed to be about 1720- 1730. I have no details

The story I have is that 'about 1720 Donald Carmichael from a farm, Lechdan Scritan, Balquhidder, came to a relative named Comrie, near Woodend, at Tynereoch, a mile or so East of St Fillan's. Then he went to the Crappich, and married there Katrina Stalker.
They had seven sons and one daughter. The daughter married the Laird of the Cowden, McInnes. There were three farms at the Crappich and Donald put a son in each'.

Any illumination gratefully appreciated. I have ALL their descendants if anyone is interested.
