Question about baptismal entries from parish registers
« on: Saturday 31 August 13 09:03 BST (UK) »
I have some baptismal parish records from St Mary Magdelen of Upper Winchedon, and a few entries are of the form:

2 Nov 1807  Thomas born 30 Sep 1807 son of William and Elizabeth, registered 15 Nov 1807

Where would the baptism be registered?  Are those records accessible, and would they contain any more information?

Thanks
R
Chapman from Haddenham to North Marston, Buckinghamshire; Bradwin in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire; Cox in  Haddenham, Buckinghamshire and may be more Haddenham families as I make my journey back in time :)

Thebaptism would be in the parish register which is probably deposited at the county record office.  The register is unlikely to contain any more information about this baptism but it might occasionally.

I'm thinking that it might mean that the baptism was carried out privately, then registered in the PR on the later date.
