Rosball - those articles are very interesting, especially the Pettigrew-Read marriage.  I have a George Bury in my tree who is the father of Winnie's paternal grandmother, and from Winnie's grandparents marriage certificate I know George was a physician. I didn't know that John Sharkey and Bridget Bury had any other children, so that is a whole new line for me to follow now!

Thanks again everyone for all your help! If you ever do stumble across anyone else researching Sharkeys, please do point them my way - I've never been able to find anyone else studying my branch of them!
