Hi Garrard thank you for your 1st  info with Harriet Heartwell (we don't know who she is I have asked living relative and never heard of her !!!!!!!!!!)
Also for 2nd post  can I just say do you think they are mine I only say this because of the spelling ours is def. Heartwell. ??????????

Not at all difficult to have been transcribed as Hartwell, pronounced exactly the same.

I wouldn't worry too much about spellings!
That was written by the enumerator - he simply wrote what he heard! ;D

I was looking for the father (John) from 1861.
The 1851 seems to fit for name, age, profession and place of birth.

New Mills, in the parish of Glossop includes the hamlets of Beard, Ollerset, Thornset and Whistle.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
