Yes, she did marry a charles white on 8th dec 1913 when she was 24. the marriage certificate states that her father was a steward and was deceased. They had 11 children and I believe she died in 1940 age 50. I cannot find her on any census records although i can find another lucy may bishop from norfolk but i think this is a different person.

Hi  Yrb316

Welcome to rootschat  :)

I see that they married in the Hastings registration district.
We are not allowed to do 1911 lookups, you say that you have found a Lucy May Bishop from Norfolk, Was this on census.

As you believe that she may be from Ireland have you tried looking for her on the Irish census.

hi and welcome to rootschat
if Edward was her fathers name and a ships steward there,s a death at sea record for 26 dec 1902 his age 34 box 0027  p 81  ship name doune castle  but if he died in eng there are 221 Edward bishops died between 1890 and 1913 , just thought I,d throw this in the ring .
regards
trevor
ps there is another lucy m bishop cen 1891 in Southampton but looks like her father was a ships carpenter .

There's a Lucy M Bishop in the 1901 census at Portman Square, London, a servant to the Dowager Countess of Lichfield. That Lucy was age 16 and born at Southampton. In 1891 that Lucy M Bishop is at Southampton with mother Emily Bishop, wife of a shipwright, the husband not being at a home on census night. Lucy May Bishop birth registered Oct-Nov-Dec 1884 at Southampton. In 1881 the family are in Southampton, but the husband of Emily is John Bishop, ship's carpenter.

There's only 1 Lucy Bishop in the 1901 and 1911 Irish census. Both are online (free) so that you can search yourself-
