Hello, I am new to this forum and I wonder if anyone can help me? I am trying to trace descendants of Gwen & Jim Flegg in New Zealand. Both of them have now passed away but I know they had 2 children called (*) and (*). I understand that Gwen researched a family tree which may be online somewhere but I don't know how to find it. I don't even know Gwen's maiden name, could someone tell me how to find New Zealand marriages? They would have married in the 1950s or 60s in Auckland. Any help much appreciated.  Many thanks, Mary

I see that you have posted in the Resources page. I'll move your topic across to the main New Zealand page where others will see it and might be able to help.

Are you able to tell us anything else about Gwen and Jim FLEGG? When or where they died, for instance? Do you know if they were born in NZ?

Have you looked for family trees on sites such as Mundia or GenesReunited?

A Gwendoline Elena FLEGG died in 2002. Her date of birth was 16 December 1929.

As for Jim, I can't see a death record. Are you sure he is deceased?

Looking at the digitised electoral rolls, James and Gwen are together in Te Atatu, Auckland in 1978. But by 1981 (the last available) he seems to be gone, but that's not the full story. Will PM you about daughter.

Jim died 2011 and is buried at Waitakere

I have the notice for James and this is the memorial notice for Gwen

New Zealand Herald  16 09 2003
FLEGG Gwen (nee MacDonnell). After 50 years, 5 weeks and 3 days of a wonderful marriage. Gone but never will be forgotten.
Once mary has posted a couple more times i will PM the death notice to her.
