I am not really sure as I haven't been able to find any info' about the Grimes family >:(

They could well be the same family it isn't a very common name.

Yes my husband's paternal grandmother was Jane Elizabeth  Grimes and  have traced her family back to James and Elizabeth John both born 1895 Llangwym

Yes it is possible.  I can't find them on the family search web site.  Would have to look up the parish records.

Hello ,

I have just looked up the 1861 census and find a Mary Backney or could be Buckney aged 15 carpenter's daughter   b Anglelparish which is in the civil parish of Llangwm visting James and Elizabeth Grimesn in Llangwm.

So could there be some connection to your Buckney family.
