My gran and her sons
« on: Thursday 12 September 13 16:03 BST (UK) »
Is it possible to take my gran's sons off the photograph and then sharpen her up.  It's only a small photo, but I have scanned it at 600dpi.

Many thanks
Lizzie

ps.  I don't remember her wearing anything other than grey or black, so I don't want the photo coloured.

One from me... Hope this is what you wanted?
I have been doing genealogy research for myself & others for many years, just because I love it.

I moved to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina in 2001 and just recently have got into photo restoration.

I am using an older version of Paintshop Pro XI on an even older pc :) & I want to thank in advance all who are helping me on this journey with my new hobby.

Anybody needing NC, VA research, just ask me!

Thank you all very much, they're all great restores.

Mopsy - I hadn't even noticed those seedlings until you coloured them.

I have no idea where the photograph was taken.  It's certainly not where my gran lived from mid 1930s until she died (I lived there too after my birth in 1941 until I was about 12).  Another photograph which I think must have been taken at the same time, same chair, same garden etc. has her wearing a very fancy hat as if she was visiting someone.  The only thought I have is that perhaps it was at the home of the elder of her sons who lived in Hanley, Staffs around the time I think the photo was taken.
