help needed to find Rorert Kay please !

Hi everyone,I am trying to find Robert Kay.He was born in Bolton Lancashire in 1838.I have found him in the 1841 and 1851 Bolton census but cannot find him after that.In a letter to his sister dated 1865 it says he was passing through Bolton on his way to DUBLIN.I am now wondering if he settled in Dublin.Can anyone help me find him please.
