Robert Tomlin and Mary Kennedy marriage 1942 in Aberdeen

Hi,

My name is Russell Tomlin, my dads father Robert Tomlin born 24 June 1902 in Manchester England, died 17 November 1958 in Aberdeen married Mary Kennedy born 1902 in Aberdeen died 1984 Aberdeen in 1942.   

I am wondering if anyone has any information on either person and whether there were any children resulting from their marriage.

I'd be interested in any family tree information for Robert or Mary and any information at all for that matter.

The Scottish connection and what occurred when he got there is of great importance to me, that is, were there children resulting out of marriage between Robert Tomlin and Mary Kennedy, if so, my dad has half brothers or sisters out there that he wasn't aware of.   Thanks for your interest and input, its is much appreciated.

Are you looking for children from perhaps a first marriage

There are children prior to Robert Tomlin's marriage to Mary Kennedy, as far as I know my dad George and sister Brenda were born out of wedlock and Roberts marriage to Mary was his first marriage.   If you have found information to the contrary I'd be very interested.   Thanks again.

I dont I am just trying to work out where you are coming from,with the limited information you have given and the fact that the marriage took place in Scotland,of which I have no access to records in Scotland,
So the children prior to his marriage in 1948 are your family.so do you suspect Mary had children or Robert,maybe I need to look on your other posting in Scotland to see whats going on up there,
Another thought have you got around to ordering his death certificate,or probate records,to see if he names any other children,

Hi, The post in Scotland was identical to the Lancashire one.   George (my dad) and Brenda were children of Robert Tomlin's in England.   From what I'm aware he left England for Scotland after he met someone, possibly Mary Kennedy.   He married Mary in 1942 and I am trying to establish if there were any children resulting from the marriage in 1942.   I will try to check Tomlin births post 1942 in Aberdeen on scotlands people website.   The probate record tip is a good one and I'll make some enquiries about that.      Thanks for your interest and advice.
