Annie Naylor missing after 1901
« on: Thursday 26 September 13 11:50 BST (UK) »
Hi
I first posted this topic in October 2011 but I am still stuck!!
I have since found the baptism for Elsie and her other is shown as Annie.

Annie Naylor (ne Pinder) born 9/5/1874 in Holbeck Leeds. Married to Alfred Naylor - 3 children Nellie born 1899, Herbert born 1903 and Elsie born 1910.
1911 census shows Alfred as married but Annie Naylor is not there. The 3 children are as is Annie Walker at the bottom of the list shown as housekeeper aged 24.
I can't find Annie Naylor anywhere else in 1911 nor can I find a death or further marriage for her.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

No need to start a new topic- the original one is still here with information posted-

We aren't allowed to do lookups for 1911 census but have you checked for Annie by initals (A N) in case she was in hospital, etc. (people in institutions are listed by initals).

Have you gotten the 1925 death certificate that was mentioned in the original thread? (either to confirm this is your Annie Naylor or to rule it out)
Also, did you get Elsie's birth certificate to see if Annie was her mother?

Hi thanks

I have checked the hospital records - nothing
I didn't get the death certificate as someone suggested it was a completely different person.
I don't have Elsie's birth certificate but do have her baptism certificate.

Where is it suggested that the 1925 death is another person?
There was a 1908 Annie Naylor death but it was suggested her husband was a Harry Naylor but the 1925 death was mentioned in reply #4.

Does Elsie baptismal certificate indicate that her mother was Annie? (you weren't sure of this in 1911)

Having 2 topics looking for the same information does tend to cause confusion and needless duplication.

Thanks

Got mixed up with the deaths suggested - no links to Bramley but will obtain certificate.
As stated in the first post today Elsie's baptism shows Annie as her mother.
I didn't know how to re-start the thread - someone suggested bringing it back to the top but when I asked how i didn't get a reply.

'Bringing it back to the top' seems to be another way of bumping up your topic by just making a post to have it appear at the top of the board- not really allowed (just think if everyone did the same what a mess there would be on the boards)
