Hello Pat, I'm sure that Harry's parents have now passed away ,but I thought that there may be relatives still living in the Hyde and Bredbury areas , Im not wanting to research Harry Derbyshire as I served with him in RAF, Also My wife knew him as she also lived in Woodley. I just thought that some relative would like the photo for memories sake .

Hi Ernest,

Yes his parents will likely have passed away but if as I said I have the correct family his sister is still living. The policy on Rootschat is not to mention living people on the boards and that's why I'm sending you a personal message which is completely private.

Cheers,
Pat.

Hi Pat. I have had no reply from my correspondence Regarding H Derbyshire. I did mention in the correspondence to ignore if I had the wrong Family. Many thanks Ernest

Hi Ernest,

Sorry to hear that.
I was fairly sure that the people I found were his relatives but apparently not.
I'm sure they wouldn't have passed up a chance of a photo of the burial site if they were the correct relations.
I'll have a root around in the newspapers next time I go to the library, see if I can dredge up anything else about Harry.

Pat
