Fredrick Joseph Hall
« on: Sunday 29 September 13 09:18 BST (UK) »

I have modified this post as I think I have caused confusion.  Fredrick Joseph Hall was born in Bedminster Bristol Uk on 29th July 1912.  His parents were Joseph and Lizzie Hall who remained in Bristol for the rest of their lives.

Fred emigrated to Australia post 2nd world war. His wife's name was Maisie (they married in England) and they had three children, 2 girls born in England and 1 boy born in Australia. I believe that they settled in Wollongong New South Wales and that Fred was, at one time, editor of the Wollongong Gazette. The marriage broke down and Fred died I believe in late 1960s or early 1970s. I can find no record of their emigration or any record of any of them in Australia.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have received a message from Leanne but don't know how to reply to it - I can't see where to click to reply or perhaps this is the way (sorry for being stupid!).  My research for Fredrick Hall has been through ancestry.co.uk emigration records which I have not been able to find anything about him. The rest of the info has been gleaned from members of the family here in England. I do not know the names of Maisie's parents or anything about her but I do know the names of Fred and Maisie's children but didn't know if I would be allowed to post these on line as they may still be alive

Hi Naner,
   You are doing fine.

There is a probate packet at NSW state records for Frederick Joseph Hall who died in 1968
http://investigator.records.nsw.gov.au/Entity.aspx?Path=\Item\1290308

The probate packets often contain wills, death certs and other interesting tidbits.

I will be going there in a couple of weeks and can photograph for you if you are not in Sydney.

cheers,
