SELLEY _ KYNE

Elsie Lucy Jones nee Selley was born on 23/12/1923, Lilian & Elsie also had a brother William John (Billy) Selley born 15/7/1919 he passed away in June 1980 was living in Seven Sisters Road, London,
What is your connection with the Selleys who were your parents?  Many thanks Martin & Janet

It has been a very rewarding experience communication with
kin to my second cousins belonging to the SELLEY - KYNE branch of the KYNE - SMITH family of London.

The most facinating part of this story is I lived in two locations
in London as a child - on either side of Seven Sisters near Holloway Road.

How I am connected to the SELLEY Families is tricky.
For your family it is a maternal branch.  But, my ZELLEY name comes from Dorset.  It appears in the region from Tiverton to  Silverton, Devon and Broadwindsor, Dorset
there are numerous name variations of the same branches
including Selley, Selly, Zelley, Zelly, Sealy & Zealy.
How they are all connected is a difficult task due in part to faulty records.  There is a story that some records were
used to light a fire on one cold winter's day
(the time & location  - I think it was pre 1800 in the Dorset/Devon/Somerset border region ( but it's only an story
- unsure if it is fact, fantasy or fiction).
