Free BMD marriage 1887 possible spouses

Henry Thomas Davies and Annie Willetts  :-\

Does this ring any bells? It may not be the right parents though.

Perhaps it was an unofficial adoption by Alfred and Harriett.

According to freebmd, Alfred & Harriet Willetts married in 1882.

I know Davies is a frequently occurring name, but have you got her birth cert or entry in the birth index?

Ann was only 2 on 1891
But the family were living in St Mathews Street, Davies and Willets
And 1901 same area Bilston road age 12
Could have married or died by 1911

I think she is there if you search with the information already provided. Sometimes Davies is written as Davis.

Suggest process:  Annie Willetts m. Henry T Davies 1887.  Two children Ann 1889 and Alfred 1890.  1891 Ann is visiting grandparents, i.e. Annie's parents (1881 with Joseph and Phoebe, Moore St).  1901 no sign of Henry T and Annie or Alfred, so they died, emigrated or something and Ann was taken in by Alfred & Harriett, who was also Willetts and may have been Annie's sister, or Alfred may have been Henry's brother, or both.   You still need to find Ann's entry of birth 1888 or 1889, one contender appears to be Ann Davis 1889 Jul Wolverhampton 6b 643.
Good hunting
Dion

There is a possibility that for some reason the family are not there in 1901 but are there in 1911. However Geoff will have to look himself.
