Thank you NDRFT, you have certainly filled in many gaps to this family.

May I ask if there is a christening date for Sarah Piercy d/o White Piercy (snr) as I cannot find one.
I have found where Sarah married Marmaduke Daintrey (silversmith of Hartley Witney and London)in 1772 in Oxfordshire and this was his second marriage. It would be nice to fill in Sarah's life and how old she was when she married Marmaduke.

The Will of White Piercy (snr) give the children as White; then Sarah; Anne and Robert.
From the information received on Rootschat I have been able to obtain the Will of White Piercy (jnr) and it verifies that Robert is the brother of White jnr.

I was confused as Robert started his silversmith trade after his father was deceased.

Thank you everyone for your help.

Wow Thank you Kimbrey, yes that would be the Sarah Piercy I needed and it made her age to be 44 when she married Marmaduke in 1772.

Many thanks for the prompt answer too; you are keeping me on my toes.

Hi Nigel,
That is interesting to know Sarah's father and sister were witness to the marriage.

To complete this family, is it possible to find the christening date for Sarah's sister, Ann Piercy?
familysearch.org don't seem to have the names I need.

I will have to make it a priority to visit Witney when in UK next year.

Thank you,
Pamela

Just Googled Witney and have to agree it looks and sounds interesting.

I made a mistake saying it was Sarah's father who was a witness to the marriage of Marmaduke and Sarah. Meant it was her brother, White and sister Ann.

Thank you,

Hi Pamela

When you do come over - tell me - Witney is my home town, I was there yesterday and it whilst it is modernising and growing the old part is lovely, just on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Ann do White baptised St Marys 7 Nov 1733.

I have extracted all the probable names and baptisms for you now and have them written up here. I need to type them up into a spread sheet.

PM me an e mail address and when I have done it I shall send it over if you would  like?

Hi again Nigel,
Thank you for the information to Ann. It helps to fill in the gaps.
You are very kind to do the Piercy names for me and look forward to speaking about Witney.
