Hi!

The International Genealogical Index (www.familysearch.org) has an extracted record for the marriage of Alfred Kyne to Elizabeth Rebecca Hems on 27th Nov 1853 at Saint Botolph Without, Aldersgate, London.

There are details of the christening of 3 of their children:

Elizabeth Rebecca   9th Nov 1856   St. Bartholomew the Great, London
James Joseph      12th Dec 1858    St Giles, Cripplegate (born 27th Nov 1858)
Frederick Albert   21st June 1874   St Paul, Clerkenwell, Finsbury (born 12th May 1874)

and the 1881 Census, which shows the family living at 37 Little Sutton St, London, shows that they had at least 3 other children:

William John (whose birth was registered in the district of Clerkenwell in the Qtr to Sept 1862), Hannah L (whose birth was registered in the district of Clerkenwell in the Qtr to Mar 1866) and Sarah Ann (whose birth was registered in the district of Holborn in the Qtr to Mar 1870).

The IGI also shows that:
Alfred Kyne was the son of Abraham and Mary Kyne and was christened on 25th July 1831 at St. Sepulchre, London                     and
Elizabeth Rebecca Hems was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Hems and was christened on 15th Nov 1849 at St. Bartholomew the Great, having been born on 28th May 1833.

The death of Alfred Kyne, age 70, was registered in the district of Shoreditch in the Qtr to Mar 1903 and the death of Elizabeth Rebecca Hems, age 52, was registered in the district of Holborn in the Qtr to June 1884.

I hope this helps!

Ju, the word "helps" is an understatement.  Your last two messages Re Kyne, Arno & Hems are like   sunshine rising after a  cloudy day and a stormy night.

The first message was the rainbow, and the second was
the pot of gold - what a treasure chest of information.

The word "thank you" is not just a two word affair,
it is a token payment of priceless value that goes
beyond today.
