PAF files

I know ive asked before, but cannot find the answer !
I want to send parts of my PAF to other family members, but when i print to file it is in my file ok, but when sent to others it is all gobbleygook, what am i missing ?

Maybe the others you send it to need the paf programme to open it.   Although it's not supported now it is still useable.   

edit:  Looks like it's not available.

You could print out the part of the tree that someone else wants, then scan it, and send them the scan.

It sounds, as others have said, that your recipients were trying to open the raw PAF file without having the PAF program installed. As PAF is no longer available to download you may need to save your file as a gedcom file and send the new file although the recipients will still need to download and install one of the free gedcom compatible programs

PS if you still have the installation program for PAF you could also send that with instructions about installing the program

When you save it.... save it to a word document mine always comes out ok that way.  Shall I pop along and fix it for you :)

I know i asked before, and someone gave me a way of changing something and it worked !

It looks like you have sent the data to a file pedigree.rtf instead of to a printer.

Now all you need to do is attach the file pedigree.rtf to an email so your recipient can see your pedigree chart.
