Hi there I hope I am on the right thread, as I haven't been here for a while, anyway I am looking for my husbands grandfather name and any particulars, as associated with him, I have  Frederick simmons. Born about 1871 in canning town he was married 8rth November 1896 at st James the great church bethnal green  to Mary Ann hamann  both were 25 years old . I have some info on Mary Ann hamann  I am looking for Fredericks parents. The address I have for both of them is 13 mans ford street. I think that is bethnal green,  thank you.

The marriage is online - the address is confirmed - 13, Mansford St.

His father was also a Frederick - a Foreman
Mary Ann's father was Peter Hamann - deceased.

That should help with a census search ...  1881 shows parents as Frederick (c1845, Deptford Kent) and Jane (c1846, Mile End Middx)

Thanks for replying I have no access to wthe census Frederick Simmons born 1845 deptford Kent  could somebody look on the  1881 census  for information.  On Frederick.  Simmons.  His  father and his mother Jane.  Would be very grateful.

I have been looking on the free 1881 for information on my husbands grandfathers father, also named Frederick Simmons born 1845. Deptford married to Jane  I cannot get any info on Fredericks  parents or janes parents,  I have requested some info before , but told to look at free census, whic I have burt haven't got sufficient information,  any info on these Simmons would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Thanks Carole w. for replying.  Yes I have used the links, all the info the census is giving me is his name and spouse name , I haven't got the census on this I pad so I can't look at anything else a few years back I was getting a lot of help on this site with my family tree, it seems to be different now, people use to look up the census and let you know about relations way back if this is the free look up forum I thought  somebody could look up for me.  Thanks anyway.

The marriage is not the 1865 one to Jane Caitlin or Cattlin as that Frederick was a hatter and your Frederick was a commercial clerk
